Birth control pills..?

Ok, for this week I had missed sunday's pill so I took two on monday and then I missed tuesday's pill so took two wednesday. Now I am back on my period, I've been off for almost two weeks now. It is a brownish discharge (old blood) but comes out brown. this has never happened before, is it normal?? and its not much, just a little every day but enough to go through two panty liners..
