Can learn to be coordinated enough for the drums, and how long will it take?

To be good at the drums or to have control of what ur playing on a normal set(w/ double bass,and the china) this is going to be my starter kit so I NEED to know if u really need to be that coordinated to be at least able or descent enough to play them, and yes im just starting out(if you cn give me tips that's be great!).....THANKs!
