IPhone digitizer unresponsive help!!?

A few days ago the top half of my iPhone 2g screen became unresponsive. It seems to be that the digitizer broke. So I ordered a digitizer kit with front glass from eBay. But I'm unsure about how this part is installed?? Do I have to glue it to the LCD? And if so what glue is used? Please help...
